CATS ADVANCE TO THE REGIONAL FINALS!

Caleb Lunnon shut down Eisenhower Varsity Eagles, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Piedmont Varsity Wildcats to a 10-0 victory on Thursday.

In the first inning, Piedmont Varsity Wildcats got their offense started when Ross Booker induced Dax Priddy to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats scored four runs in the third inning.  Piedmont Varsity Wildcats batters contributing to the big inning included Logan Hill, Jakeb Koop, Cole Riggs, and Gabe Clyden, who each had RBIs in the inning.

One bright spot for Eisenhower Varsity Eagles was a single by Justin Strickland in the first inning.
Lunnon got the win for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats. The pitcher went five innings, allowing zero runs on two hits, striking out four, and walking zero.

Booker took the loss for Eisenhower Varsity Eagles. Booker allowed ten hits and ten runs over five innings, striking out two.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats totaled ten hits in the game.  Weston Thomas, Riggs, and Koop all had multiple hits for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats.  Thomas led Piedmont Varsity Wildcats with three hits in four at-bats.
Strickland went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Eisenhower Varsity Eagles in hits.
