HRC: October 25, 2022

Schedules

  • All team Schedules for the season are finished and are located on the team website. They are always subject to change.
  • Tournaments are all scheduled and as brackets are released PDFs will be posted on our Tournament page and games updated with accurate information.

Budget Account Activity

  • Balance as of 10/25/22 = $20,625.40

Fundraising and Volunteering

  • The Blue and Gold Fundraiser is underway and ends on November 3rd with order forms and money drop off from 3-5:30 pm at the Baseball Coaches Office.
  • Email Fundraiser – Starts 1st week of January, and goes for 21 days.
  • Advertisement for Video Board
    • We only have two remaining HR (tournaments: Developmental Gold and the 8th/7th grade) available and three 3B (Varsity home games). We can sell as many 2B and 1B sponsor options and that is all 100% profit as we are no longer doing signs and now posting on our website, social media, and the video board.
    • Please do not ask these companies for sponsorships as they have paid for the whole high school: Southern Nazarene Tamra States with Piedmont Chiropractic, Minard Chiropractic, Select Physical Therapy, Quail Creek Bank, Mainer Ford, F&M Bank, Heim Orthodontics, Kierl Orthodontics
  • Summer Concession Stand will need someone to run purchasing at both places, we will need workers for both High School and Middle School stands.
  • We are in need of volunteers on a nightly basis. We will need press box workers (video board/music, scoreboard, and announcing) at 2 sites. We will have SignUpGenius to secure who is volunteering on certain days. If we want to run both facilities right, we will need a lot of help.

Fundraiser Goals

  • Everyone participates and tries their best to raise funds for the teams.

Items up for Planning/Discussion/Vote

  • Senior Shirts
  • Ryan Aller had an idea for parents to pay $75 a piece for photography at games for each team, GC Plus Pass for the season, and to fund lunches on days Piedmont is hosting tournaments
  • Openings in Home Run Club Board
  • Any other ideas

Chain of Command

  • Coach issue is with —> Head Coach —> Athletic Director —> Superintendent —> School Board
    • Encourage your child to bring issues up to coaches rather than parents.

Wish List

  • Does anyone with connections to a solution for our hallway in the clubhouse for rubber flooring? It’s currently concrete and can be slick with athletes walking on it with their cleats.
  • Canvas photos for the hallway (stadium, teams shots from state games, etc)
  • Furniture for the locker room, a cork board for the office, bookshelf for the office

Questions

  • Can we get a Blackstone or Grill to start cooking burgers, hot dogs, and chicken sandwiches for the concession to sell? ~Coach Skow will look into this and have a conversation with Snow about what this would look like.
  • We would like announcers for all home games (9th to Varsity) and are looking for volunteers to commit to helping out 3-4 games a year or the entire year.

Next Meeting

  • End of November and probably will not have one in December
