Middle School Tryouts will be held February 13-17, 7:30 a.m.

  • The district email should have been sent but wasn’t. 
    • Erin Pruitt said she had not received any information about the middle school tryoutsEmail to be sent to 8th-grade parents

  • Has raised $14,000
    • Will be over soon

Upcoming travel              

  • Varsity will be traveling to a tournament in Arkansas at the beginning of the season
    • Coach has put into place a block of rooms for parents at the team’s hotelWill email the parents of the varsity team as the date gets closer to secure rooms10-12 Rooms will be at a discount.
    • The boys will be attending a college game.  Is undecided about which game the team will watch. It will either be the Arkansas State or the University of Arkansas game.

Sign-up Genius

  • A sign-up genius will be sent out in the coming days for this season’s game-day volunteer 
    • Grilling
    • Pressbox (video board/music, scoreboard, announcer)

Discussion of Board

  • Possible new board positions replacing old positions that aren’t needed anymore.
  • The treasurer is obsolete now.  All money goes through the district office and not the HR
  • Possible addition of Media role added to the board
  • The announcement that Cindy Proctor will be stepping down as president next year when her son is a senior.  Possible replacements should be a parent of a younger player i.e., a 7th freshman.
  • No HRC president holds that position when their son is a senior.  If anyone is interested contact Cindy Proctor or Coach Skow.

Meet the Player

  • February 25th at 6:30 pm
    • Vendors will be in attendance
    • Will grill hotdogs and hamburgers
    • Cornhole for parents and families
    • Coach is interested in having some sort of activity for boys. 
      • Possible longest drive, etc
      • No homerun derby – field too big
      • Teams will be announced
      • Coach wants them in their jersey and caps pertaining to their team
      • Wants a professional photographer there
      • Possible photo booth with balloon garland backdropImportant to him to give families the opportunity to have a family picture together
      • Wants evening to be relaxing and fun

  • Needs shared and pushed by all
  • Currently have two tournaments (HR) and three home games (3B) available and unlimited 2B, and 1B opportunities.
