Piedmont Varsity Wildcats coasted to an easy victory over MacArthur Varsity Highlanders 11-1 on Friday

MacArthur Varsity Highlanders got things started in the first inning. Rhett Vaughan drove in one when Vaughan singled.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats pulled away for good with two runs in the third inning. In the third, an error scored one run for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats and an error scored one run for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats.

Noah Smith got the start for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats. The righthander surrendered one run on four hits over five innings, striking out nine and walking zero.

Kage Zeller was on the pitcher’s mound for MacArthur Varsity Highlanders. The righty lasted four and a third innings, allowing ten hits and 11 runs while striking out seven and walking one.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats totaled ten hits in the game. Harriger, Nicholas Elmhorst, and Smith each collected multiple hits for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats. Harriger went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Piedmont Varsity Wildcats in hits.
