Wildcats Fought Back But Came Up Short

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats fought back after falling down by nine runs in the third inning. The comeback fell just short though, in a 13-11 defeat to Deer Creek Antlers Varsity on Saturday.  Piedmont Varsity Wildcats scored ten runs in the failed comeback on a single by Jakeb Koop in the third, a single by Cole Girard in the third, a single by Reid Smith in the fourth, a home run by Koop in the seventh, and a home run by Jackson Harriger in the seventh.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats fell behind early in the loss.  Deer Creek Antlers Varsity took the lead in the second inning.

Deer Creek Antlers Varsity fired up the offense in the second inning when Taylor Tomlin was struck by a pitch, driving in a run.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats notched five runs in the third inning.  The big inning was thanks to singles by Koop and Girard,  by Smith, and by Harriger.

Deer Creek Antlers Varsity scored seven runs in the third inning.  Deer Creek Antlers Varsity’s big inning was driven by home runs by Brady Hamilton and Ashton Hartwig and a walk by Tomlin.

Teddy Amorosi was on the hill for Deer Creek Antlers Varsity. Amorosi surrendered three runs on three hits over two innings.

Jacob Boesch was on the mound for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats. The righthander lasted two and a third innings, allowing four hits and six runs while striking out one.  Dalton Hampton, Weston Thomas, and Girard each contributed in relief for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats tallied two home runs on the day. Harriger had a four-bagger in the seventh inning. Koop put one out in the seventh inning.

Deer Creek Antlers Varsity tallied 12 hits.  Luke Schimmels, Kellen Frizzell, Hamilton, and Caden Allen each managed multiple hits for Deer Creek Antlers Varsity.  Deer Creek Antlers Varsity was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Schimmels had the most chances in the field with eight.

Piedmont Claims Victory over the Ironheads

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats snagged a late lead and defeated Eufaula Ironheads  10-2 on Friday.  The game was tied at one with Piedmont Varsity Wildcats batting in the top of the fourth when Jakeb Koop’s sac fly scored one run for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats.

Eufaula Ironheads got things moving in the first inning.  Draven Gragg lined out, scoring one run.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats pulled away for good with two runs in the fourth inning.  In the fourth Noah Smith tripled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring one run.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats tallied five runs in the fifth inning.  Piedmont Varsity Wildcats’ big bats were led by Weston Thomas, Smith, and Nicholas Elmhorst, all driving in runs in the frame.

Clayton Harrington led the Piedmont Varsity Wildcats to victory on the pitcher’s mound. The righty surrendered one run on two hits over four innings, striking out four.  Noah Aller threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen striking out four.

Hayden Robinson took the loss for Eufaula Ironheads. The pitcher lasted four innings, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out one and walking zero.

Salina Jumps Out Early and Secures the Win

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 10-3 loss to Salina Wildcats Varsity on Friday.  Salina Wildcats Varsity scored on a single by T Bailey in the first inning, a single by E Swarsr in the first inning, a single by M Williams in the second inning, and a single by C Johnson in the second inning.

The Piedmont Varsity Wildcats struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Salina Wildcats Varsity, giving up ten runs.

In the first inning, Salina Wildcats Varsity got their offense started.  Bailey singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

Salina Wildcats Varsity scored three runs in the sixth inning.  P Burns, Johnson, and Bailey all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

E Gardner was on the pitcher’s mound for Salina Wildcats Varsity. The bulldog went three innings, allowing two runs on one hit and striking out one.

Noah Smith was on the mound for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats. The pitcher surrendered five runs on eight hits over five innings, striking out two.  Luke Hill threw two innings in relief.

Nicholas Elmhorst, Jackson Harriger, and Cole Girard each collected one hit to lead Piedmont Varsity Wildcats.

Salina Wildcats Varsity tallied 12 hits in the game.  M Alberty, Johnson, G Willis, and Swarsr each racked up multiple hits for Salina Wildcats Varsity.  Alberty led Salina Wildcats Varsity with three hits in three at-bats.

Another Blow-Out Victory Against the Bluejays

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats easily dispatched Guthrie Varsity Bluejays 10-1 on Tuesday

In the first inning, Piedmont Varsity Wildcats got their offense started.  Logan Hill grounded out, scoring two runs.

Five RBI Day for Thomas

Weston Thomas came to the ballpark and meant business on Monday, driving in five on two hits to lead Piedmont Varsity Wildcats past Guthrie Varsity Bluejays 11-1 on Monday.  Thomas drove in runs on a triple in the first and a grand slam in the third.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats scored five runs in the fifth on its way to a 7-1 victory over Moore Lions Varsity on Saturday.  Piedmont Varsity Wildcats big bats were led by Reid Smith and Dalton Hampton, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Wolves Can’t Keep Up with the Cats

Logan Hill came to the ballpark and meant business on Friday, driving in four on three hits to lead Piedmont Varsity Wildcats past Edmond Santa Fe Varsity Wolves 11-4 on Friday.  Hill drove in runs on a double in the third and a double in the sixth.

Cat’s Bats Were on Fire

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats defeated Del City Eagles Varsity 17-0 on Tuesday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Cole Girard struck out Blake Barker to finish off the game.

Weston Thomas led Piedmont Varsity Wildcats to victory by driving in four runs.  Thomas went 3-for-3 at the plate.  Thomas drove in runs on a triple in the first and a home run in the third.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats had all cylinders firing on offense on Thursday, winning big over Putnam City North Varsity Panthers 13-2

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats took home a 4-1 victory over El Reno Varsity Indians on Tuesday.

Wildcats Held a Hitting Clinic Against El Reno

Luke Hill got busy on the basepaths on Monday, knocking four hits in Piedmont Varsity Wildcats’s 12-2 victory over El Reno Varsity Indians.  Hill singled in the first, doubled in the second, doubled in the fourth, and singled in the seventh.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats saw the ball well today, racking up 17 hits in the game.  Hill, Smith, Jackson Harriger, and Smith each racked up multiple hits for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats.  Hill went 4-for-5 at the plate to lead Piedmont Varsity Wildcats in hits.  Piedmont Varsity Wildcats tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Hill led the way with three.

Cats Fall to Life Prep

Saturday’s game against Life Prep Varsity Fire was a heartbreaker for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats, as they lost the lead late in an 8-7 defeat.  The game was tied at seven with Life Prep Varsity Fire batting in the bottom of the fourth when Jacksenio De La Rosa singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats collected nine hits and Life Prep Varsity Fire had eight in the high-scoring affair.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats got on the board in the first inning.  Reid Smith doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

Emmanuel Gonzalez toed the rubber for Life Prep Varsity Fire. The righty went three innings, allowing six runs on six hits and striking out four.

Noah Aller was on the hill for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats. The lefthander lasted four innings, allowing eight hits and eight runs while striking out five.  Logan Hill threw two-thirds of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Wildcats Couldn’t Hold back the Bulldogs

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats struggled to get their offense going on Saturday, getting easily dispatched by Edmond Memorial Varsity Bulldogs, 11-5.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats opened up scoring in the first inning when Noah Smith’s sac fly scored one run for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats.

In the top of the second inning, Edmond Memorial Varsity Bulldogs tied things up at three when J Winchester’s sac fly scored one run for Edmond Memorial Varsity Bulldogs.

Edmond Memorial Varsity Bulldogs took the lead for good with two runs in the third inning.  In the third Loyd singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run and Grant Brunner drew a walk, scoring one run.

Edmond Memorial Varsity Bulldogs scored six runs in the fourth inning.  The offensive firepower by Edmond Memorial Varsity Bulldogs was led by Loyd, Tracy, and Winchester, all driving in runs in the inning.

Jacob Williams had the most chances in the field with 13.

Three Pitcher No-Hitter Against the Spartans

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats’s three pitchers didn’t allow a single hit, as Piedmont Varsity Wildcats defeated Southeast Spartans Varsity 15-0 on Monday.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats got things started in the first inning.  Logan Hill drew a walk, scoring one run.

Catcher Lindley pitched Piedmont Varsity Wildcats to victory. The ace lasted two innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out five and walking zero.  Luke Hill and Cole Pruitt entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Varela led things off on the hill for Southeast Spartans Varsity. Varela surrendered 12 runs on five hits over one and one-third innings, striking out two.  Granados threw one-third of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Reid Smith had the most chances in the field with 12.  Piedmont Varsity Wildcats stole ten bases during the game as three players stole more than one. Elliott led the way with three.

Solid Win in First Game of Doubleheader

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats’s three pitchers didn’t allow a single hit, as Piedmont Varsity Wildcats defeated Southeast Spartans Varsity 16-0 on Monday.

Wildcats Defeat Huskies Despite Allowing a 7-Run Inning

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats weathered a scare by Edmond North Varsity Huskies in the second inning where Piedmont Varsity Wildcats coughed up seven runs, but Piedmont Varsity Wildcats still won 9-7 on Saturday.  The big inning for Edmond North Varsity Huskies came thanks to a walk by Owen Hall, a fielder’s choice by Spencer Biggerstaff, an error on a ball put in play by Stephen Valois, and a double by Nick Garcia.

Bats blistered as Piedmont Varsity Wildcats collected nine hits and Edmond North Varsity Huskies tallied seven in the high-scoring game.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats lost the lead late in a 4-3 defeat to Bixby Varsity Spartans on Friday.  The game was tied at three with Bixby Varsity Spartans batting in the bottom of the sixth when Bailor singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

Bixby Varsity Spartans fired up the offense in the first inning.  Bixby Varsity Spartans scored two runs when Williams doubled.

Jakeb Koop was on the mound for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats. The righthander lasted two and third innings, allowing three hits and three runs while striking out four.  Noah Aller threw three and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Luke Hill led Piedmont Varsity Wildcats with two hits in three at-bats.  Piedmont Varsity Wildcats didn’t commit a single error in the field. Jackson Harriger had seven chances in the field, the most on the team.

Bixby Varsity Spartans racked up eight hits in the game.  Williams and Moore all managed multiple hits for Bixby Varsity Spartans.

Deja Vu, Another No-Hitter

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats’s four pitchers didn’t allow a single hit, as Piedmont Varsity Wildcats defeated Guymon Tigers Varsity 19-0 on Friday. Jacob Boesch struck out #12 to get the last out of the game.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats secured the victory thanks to 11 runs in the second inning.  Logan Hill, Cole Girard, Reid Smith, Cole Pruitt, Jakeb Koop, and  Clayton Harrington each had RBIs in the big inning.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats got things started in the first inning.  Dalton Hampton grounded out, scoring one run.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats scored 11 runs in the second inning.  Piedmont Varsity Wildcats’ offense in the inning was led by Hill, Girard, Smith, Pruitt, Koop, and  Harrington, who all drove in runs.

Pitchers Work Together in No-Hitter

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats’s three pitchers didn’t allow a single hit, as Piedmont Varsity Wildcats defeated Guymon Tigers Varsity 17-0 on Thursday. Jackson Califano induced a groundout from #33 to get the last out of the game.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats secured the victory thanks to 13 runs in the first inning.  Piedmont Varsity Wildcats batters contributing to the big inning included Noah Smith, Jakeb Koop, Jackson Harriger, Weston Thomas, Logan Hill, and  Dalton Hampton, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats asserted their will over Sylvan Hills Bears Varsity on their way to an easy 8-2 victory

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats fired up the offense in the first inning.  Noah Smith doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats tallied three runs in the seventh inning.  Piedmont Varsity Wildcats’ big bats in the inning were led by a sacrifice fly by Smith and an error on a ball put in play by Dalton Hampton.

Smith earned the win for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats. The righty went six innings, allowing zero runs on two hits, striking out nine, and walking zero.  Carson Coleman threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Kelvin Battles toed the rubber for Sylvan Hills Bears Varsity. The righty allowed one hit and five runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out four.  Joe Shirley and Max Percefull entered the game as relief, throwing three and two-thirds innings and two-thirds of an inning respectively.

Wildcats Lose Lead Early

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 9-0 loss to Lonoke Jackrabbits 2023 on Saturday.  Lonoke Jackrabbits 2023 scored on a double by Eaves and a fielder’s choice by Belford in the first inning.

The Piedmont Varsity Wildcats struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Lonoke Jackrabbits 2023, giving up nine runs.

A single by Cole Pruitt in the second inning was positive for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats.

Pruitt and Cole Girard each collected one hit to lead Piedmont Varsity Wildcats.

Aycock went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Lonoke Jackrabbits 2023 in hits.  Lonoke Jackrabbits 2023 was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Aycock had the most chances in the field with 17.

Cats Claim Lead in Fifth to Defeat JT Robinson

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats ran off with the lead late in the game in a 6-2 victory over Joe T. Robinson on Friday.  The game was tied at two with Piedmont Varsity Wildcats batting in the top of the fifth when.

Joe T. Robinson fired up the offense in the first inning, when.

After Piedmont Varsity Wildcats scored one run in the top of the fourth, Joe T. Robinson answered with one of their own.  Joe T. Robinson then answered when Jackson Ward hit a solo homer.

Piedmont Varsity Wildcats tallied three runs in the sixth inning.  Piedmont Varsity Wildcats scored its runs on a single by Carson Coleman.

Jackson Califano toed the rubber for Piedmont Varsity Wildcats. The lefty surrendered two runs on five hits over four innings, striking out five.

Connor Grisham was on the pitcher’s mound for Joe T. Robinson. Grisham surrendered zero runs on one hit over two innings, striking out four.  Driftin Ladd, Brett Wilson, and Clay Davis each contributed in relief for Joe T. Robinson.

Weston Thomas, Coleman, Cole Pruitt, Reid Smith, Dalton Hampton, Logan Hill, and Cole Girard each collected one hit to lead Piedmont Varsity Wildcats.

Wilson led Joe T. Robinson with two hits in three at-bats.
